Lookbook for Bologna

In a couple of days, I am off to Bologna, Italy on a little holiday to visit my two best friends who are on Erasmus there. Bologna is north of Italy and from the snaps I have seen from the girls out there, it looks incredible and I am super excited. I will be travelling with my best friend Sarah and the gal pals will be reunited!

I decide to give you a look at what I have planned to wear on the 6 days in Italy, so continue reading! Unfortunately, most of the clothes I have decided to wear are now unavailable, although there are some new items that are still available! Do not fear though because I am such a nice person, I have researched and found you something quite similar if you would like to purchase! I might add now, that although I work with Celia Holman Lee, I ain’t no model. There is a reason why I am just her P.A 😉

My first outfit is what I shall be wearing flying out to Bologna. When flying, I like to wear something comfortable yet stylish. My outfit is simple: High waisted denim jeans, a grey string top (which I am fully aware you can’t actually see), a light navy & white jumper and grey Skechers.

Next up is a polka dotted jumpsuit with a white crop top and a black floppy hat! This is a fun yet chic look.

Jumpsuit – Sadly, this isn’t available anymore and I searched for something similar but there isn’t anything like it available.
Crop top – This is from Topshop and I have it in various colours. I can’t find it online but I did find it in store. (In London, I might add.)

This little blue dress is one I have had for a good few years now (I have in since 2012 – Reason how I know this is because I wore it when I met Niall Horan!). This dress is such a pretty summer dress and it makes me feel really girly. I am wearing it with my Skechers to make it more of a casual day time look.

Dress – This original dress was from New Look. The closest replica to my dress was this one here from Next.

Something quite similar, except this next dress is more of a mint blue. This dress was from Pennys (Primark) about 2 years ago and €12. I am bringing a cardigan in case it gets a little chilly.

Dress – Again, I can’t find the exact dress but this is the same shape of dress here.
Cardigan – It might be blue but it is the same style here. My cardigan is from F&F and was €10.

 

If you know me, there will always be a Disney themed outfit in my wardrobe. This is another fun and casual outfit that would suit if we were travelling around.

Top – This is from Pennys (Primark) and I only got it a couple of weeks ago, so it should still be there. It was €8.
High waisted shorts – These high waisted shorts are actually from America and I have them YEARS! They are my favourites because they are so comfy. I found something similar on New Look here.

I got sick of my face here so excuse me! This is another casual outfit and all from Pennys (Primark) and I just got these last week therefore they should be there still.

These grey shorts have my name written all over them. They are high waisted, grey, ripped and have studs on them = MADE FOR ME! They are from Pennys (Primark) are were €12. I grabbed these last week and they are still there.

Lastly, I picked an evening outfit as we are going out on our first night. I went for my go to glam style and that is a maxi skirt and crop top.

That is it, that is all the clothes that will be in my suitcase! I better go pack it now! I will be vlogging while in Italy so watch out for those videos when I am back.

Also, I’ve always known I am pale and I embrace it but jesus it was so difficult actually taking photos that you could see me in.

January Favourites 2015!

I had planned to post this blog a week ago, but if you read my previous blog post, you will understand that I wasn’t in the mood to blog but now I’m back and ready to blog. So here is some of the things I have been loving in the month of January.

Make-Up 

So I have two favourite make-up pieces. I am in LOVE with Topshop Lipsticks, almost as much as I love Mac Lipsticks. I am obsessed with plum/wine toned lipsticks and had to get this shade from Topshop. It is called ‘Twin’ and is around €10. It’s not matt like Mac lipsticks, but has durability, has a lovely shine and it’s easy to take off when removing make-up!

My second make-up favourite is Benefit’s Roller Lash Mascara. This is one of the best mascaras I have ever used. It does everything you want a mascara to do. I have naturally really long lashes and find it hard to a mascara that doesn’t clump my lashes together. This mascara also curls your lashes when you are applying it. It doesn’t clump and goes on so smoothly. This mascara thickens and volumizes your lashes. It is just perfect! It is €26 but it’s worth it! I got my tiny bottle in January’s copy of Elle so if you aren’t ready to commit, buy that magazine if it is still in shops!

Clothes

My favourite piece of clothing this month has to be my Black Ripped Skinny Jeans. I love ripped jeans and have done for a few years now. I don’t think they will ever go out of fashion. They are casual but can be dressed up at the same time! I never had a pair of black ripped jeans and have been looking for a while but I never had the money to buy Topshop’s pair. Luckily, my mum bought me these pair last week and I LOVE THEM! They are high waisted and extremely comfy. They have a super-skinny style so they’ll lengthen and give a slimming look. They are from Littlewoods and are €37.

Although this isn’t the most flattering image, these jeans are my favourite jeans ever! Plus those socks are so stylish!

Book

January has been a busy month so I haven’t got to read many books but I did read Zoella’s Girl Online. This is Zoe Sugg’s first book and with her being one of my favourite Youtubers, I had to read it. The main character, Penny, is a Year 11 student ( which is equivalent to TY/5th Year here in Ireland, I think!) and the story is about every teenage girl’s problems – boys, beauty, the so called friend who are actually mean to you, but it also covers some modern issues that some girls go through like anxiety and panic attacks and the pressures social media can cause. Penny begins blogging about all her problems, anonymously as Girl Online. After an embarrassing situation in front of her whole school that ended up on Facebook & Youtube, her Mum gets a job in New York over Christmas. Penny meets a boy called Noah. And well, it’s a love story! I am not going to ruin it for you but it is a good book. It’s easy to read and I had it read in 3 days. It’s innocent, sweet and very realistic of what teenagers go through nowadays! It was kind of predictable at times for me but I still liked it! 8/10 from me! 

Music

My favourite song for January is Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do. Firstly, it’s Ellie Goulding and I love her. Secondly, this song is from the highly anticipated 50 Shades of Grey. It suits the movie down to the ground, with lyrics like “You’re the pain..”, ”You’re the fear/I don’t care/’Cause I’ve never been so high” and the famous ‘Touch me like you do..’. Even though the movie is not one bit innocent, Ellie’s sweet, romantic tone is nothing but innocent. I’ve listened to this song so much this month and I don’t think I will ever get sick of it. It will have you dancing around your bedroom, while imaging Mr. Grey is there dancing with you. (A girl can dream okay?!)

Shoes

I have these Doc. Marten’s since my birthday but I fallen even more in love with them recently! My gal pals Susan and Laura bought them for my 21st Birthday! They are lighter than my black ones, but just as durable! They are also extremely comfortable while being very stylish at the same time.

TV Show/Series

So I have became obsessed with Gossip Girl in January and although Sarah and I had planned to have all 6 Seasons finished by now, we are on season 3. From wishing I was Serena to wanting a boyfriend like Chuck Bass ( you have to say his whole name, it sounds better!) to nearly every episode having some sort of Houndstooth fashion, I LOVE GOSSIP GIRL. Although, for a while, I was extremely annoyed with the amount of incest in it at one point!! But I have gotten over that and I am even more addicted than before!!

Movie

I didn’t watch that many movies in January and I didn’t get to the cinema to see any new ones that are out! I did watch Two Night Stand a few weeks ago. It is about how a snowstorm forces two people who made an online connection via a dating website to unwillingly extend their one-night stand as the blizzard goes through the night. It has Miles Teller (who is kinda cute!) and Analeigh Tipton in it. It is funny and kind of romantic! Don’t watch it with a couple though. Being a third wheel is awkward and makes you feel even more alone!

Youtuber/s

I am obsessed with Youtubers and this month I have found myself watching more of the Sacconejoly’s. The Sacconejoly’s are Irish Youtubers who now live in London and daily vlog their everyday lives! The have two children, Emilia and Eduardo, who are SUPER CUTE! They are currently in Florida for Playlist Live but went to Disney World and the video below is when Emilia met the Disney Princesses!

Most importantly, I still have My Dad!

Like I mentioned at the beginning, if you have read my previous blog, you would know my Dad had a heart attack a week ago. He is now home from hospital and is doing good. Doctors have said he has made a great recovery but it is still a long road ahead. Yesterday (Saturday 7th February) we got to watch the Ireland V Italy rugby match together at home and it was great! Memories I will tresure forever.

What Movies To Watch In 2015!

2015 has some brilliant movies in store with some important sequels and Disney taking a new approach of their classics, it is an exciting time for movie lovers.

The Duff

It has already been dubbed ‘the new Mean Girls’ by many critics and the trailer certainly shows that it is the movie you must see for 2015. It is about a Senior student who wants to change the labels in high school after she discovers that she has been labelled the DUFF, standing for Designated Ugly Fat Friend (Now I know what I was labeled in school and now in University!) to her prettier and more popular friends. It stars Mae Whitman and Disney’s Bella Thorne. I for one can not wait to see this and see how she got rid of that label, I will be taking notes! It hits cinemas in February.

 

 

50 Shades of Grey 

Also out in February is the most anticipated movie in the history of movies, I am sure. It is of course, E.L. James’s book ’50 Shades of Grey’ hitting the big screens across the world. Okay, so if you are of that minority who haven’t read the book (like who hasn’t read it?!), here is what it is about. Anastasia Steele, who is a literature student, goes innocently to interview Mr. Christian Grey. She meets the beautiful and very intimidating man and finds herself thinking about him, even after the interview. She realizes she wants him, and wanting to get closer to him. Christian also wants Ana, but on his own terms. Christian demands to be in control of everything. Ana begins to hesitates when she discovers Christian has certain tastes – he is a Dominant and wants Ana to be his Submissive. If you haven’t read the book, I won’t say anymore! I’ll leave it as a surprise. One thing for sure is, I am certainly looking forward to this movie and very excited to see Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey. Only 40 days to go!

 

 

Pitch Perfect 2

The Bellas are back! Pitch Perfect 2 is the sequel to the smash hit Pitch Perfect from 2012. The movie is about the Barden Bellas entering an international acapella competition that no previous American group has ever won. They plan to change that! If it is anything like Pitch Perfect, it is going to be hilarious, quirky and hopefully lots of scenes with Jesse (hottie alert!). If anything, it will make you want to be part of the Bellas. It stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Skylar Astin. The movie is due out in May.

 

 

Into The Woods

The first of the two Disney adapted movies for 2015. After years of unsuccessful attempts by other movie producers trying and failing to adapt the play ‘Into The Woods’ into film, Disney decided to produce it. The movie is inspired by the classic fairy tales ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’, ‘Rapunzel’ and ‘Cinderella’. The movie has a star studded cast with Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick, James Corden, Chris Pine and Johnny Depp to name a few. Although it is a Disney movie, it wouldn’t be a typical fairy tale movie, so refrain from bringing small children as some scenes might scare them! Movie is out January 9th.

 

 

Cinderella

The second film Disney will release in 2015 is the Cinderella. Cinderella was the 12th movie Disney released originally back in 1950 and now they have brought it to life. The plot of the movie largely resembles the original Cinderella fairy tale but has a few new twists. Lily James plays Cinderella and if you are a fan of Downton Abbey, her face maybe familiar. She plays Lady Rose MacClare in the series. Richard Madden plays Prince Charming. Movie is set to come out in March.

 

 

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

The final installment of The Hunger Games is due out in November. Katniss Everdeen, the ‘Mockingjay’ leads District 13 to a revolution against the Capitol. With the first part ending on a cliffhanger, I can not contain my excitement for this movie. Even though I have read the books (I read all 3 books in 3 days!) and know what happens, I am curious to see how it is adapted to the big screen. Plus my favourite Jennifer Lawrence is in it. Also, Josh Hutcherson has been a crush of mine since like forever so I love seeing him in movies 😛 If you haven’t read the books or seen the previous movies, read or watch them now. You won’t regret it. There is no trailer for this movie yet.

Paper Towns

This will be the second of John Green’s book to be adjusted to the big screen, with ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ being the first. Paper Towns is about Quentin and his friends go on a road trip to find his neighbour and love from a far, Margo. Margo has disappeared and left clues, only for Quentin to solve. Typically, I love the book and have high hopes for this movie. Margo will be played by model Cara Delevingne in her first starring role and Nat Wolff will play Quentin. It is due out in June.

Of course, there is many more movies due out in 2015 but I’ll be here all night talking about them. So grab the popcorn and your friends or family and head to the cinema! Enjoy.

Those Nick Jonas photos…

Just a little over two weeks, Nick Jonas got females, young and old, hot under the collar with these photos from his photoshoot with Flaunt Magazine.

Nick posed for the October’s Issue of the magazine and even recreated Mark Wahlberg’s well loved Calvin Klein’s advertisement back in 1992, where he famously grabbed his crotch and 22 year old Nick Jonas dropped his pants and done exactly that to shed his Disney star image.

Nick Jonas’ PR team knew exactly what they were doing signing Nick up to this shoot and spreading these photos over the internet. Nick is currently releasing new music and has a new album coming out soon in the US and early next year in Europe. What a way to get your name back into the media!

Nick ditched the ‘innocent’ Disney star look and buffed up for the return to the music scene. Nick’s new album is set for release in November (unknown when it will be released over here!) which apparently has a much more mature sound. So it only makes sense that he strips off to catch people’s attention right? 😛

In the interview with Flaunt Magazine, Nick said : “I really try to be aware of the purpose of each song. There are songs on my record that I want people to have sex to, and songs people can listen to when they’re pissed off,”. Well I’m sure Nick is going to get a lot more offers to have sex to his new tunes after everyone has seen these photos! 😉

‘Chains‘ is one of his new tunes and even the title of the song is very sexual. I’m totally loving his new sound! Check out the video.

These photos didn’t go down very well with everyone though. It’s been over a year since fellow Disney star, Miley Cyrus, launched her new image to the world and that didn’t go down as smooth sailing as Nick’s did. Many celebrity sites and magazines called her a ‘whore’ and said how her new image was extremely inappropriate for being known as Hannah Montana.

It’s quite sad that it’s one rule for her and one rule for Nick. It’s about time equality happened! I happen to love how they both aren’t afraid to change their image. But that’s another argument for another day!
