G.R.L’s career took off in 2014! With their name hitting the charts when they featured on Pitbull’s Wild,Wild Love and then they released Ugly Heart, which was the anthem of summer 2014 (It’s me and my friends’ song that gets us running to the dance floor on a night out still!).

But just at the height of their success, the band were hit with tragedy. Member Simone Battle committed suicide in September 2014 at the age of 24.
G.R.L have just released their new single Lighthouse and dedicated it to Simone.
The music video is titled In Memory of Simone Battle and is deeply touching tribute to the singer, and to many others who are fighting mental health problems. The song is a very fitting tribute with lyrics such as ‘When you feel lost, then I’ll reach out to guide you home with my lighthouse’ and ‘Whenever you doubt, I’ll lift you up’
The music video contains pictures and videos of Simone throughout her childhood and her time in the band.
